An Intro to Humanitarianism

In celebration of World Humanitarian Day, take a look at this Red Cross lesson plan that will teach your students about humanitarianism!

The activities in this resource build an understanding of humanity for younger learners. The lesson plan starts by exploring what it means to be human, before moving on to consider the key concepts underpinning wider notions of humanity. The concepts and activities are ideally suited to learners aged 6–11, and at points in the lesson plan alternatives are suggested to support different age demographics.
